Process
Every commission goes through the same rigorous process:

Brief
The briefing is a reciprocal process, where I can identify exactly what your requirements are while discussing what’s possible and outlining the project detail. We will discuss styling, functionality, target audience, objectives, costs – basically all the ingredients needed to create a successful website. You may have a clear style and structure in mind or just know that you want a website without any idea of what form it should take. By the end of the briefing session we should both have a clear idea of the direction of the project with a route to proceed.
Development
The development stage is split into 2 areas:
1. Content Structure: Wireframes
Wireframes are a representation of how the content & navigation will be structured on the page. This has no design added and lets us agree on the layout & funtionality of the site.
2. Initial Designs
Two or Three initial designs will be mocked up for you to choose from. During this process we can try a number of styling ideas to fine tune before the build.
The Build
The build, as it suggests, is where the site is actually coded and all elements added. If copy and images are available, these need to be forwarded in digital format; if not, I can arrange photographers, copy writers etc. to contribute as required.
Testing
Oncewe have the site built to our specification we need to run a series of test to ensure cross-browser compatibility & funtionality. We can also make any changes required before we go live.
Delivery and Maintanence
With all changes made and testing complete the finished site is delivered to your server or hosting company. If you need this set up I can take care of this for you. Depending on the nature of your website you will either need regular or sporadic changes made. If the changes are very simple I will happily give you a tutorial so you can maintain yourself. If it’s more complicated we can draw up a maintanence contract for a set period.
